What are the different logo design styles?
This month I thought I’d take a look at some of the logo design styles we might see. I’ve scoured the web this time to see what’s out there and it would appear that there are at least five trends that could be making their way to a logo near you. Let’s have a look at them in a little more detail.
Nowadays logos can tend to look cluttered or overworked in an attempt to make them unique but it looks like we are going to see an increase in much simpler logos with flat designs. For this approach to work I think the logo has to tell people exactly what it is you do without any confusion, you really have to get the meaning directly into the logo.
Very popular in 2016, we could be seeing quite a few more – in fact I may even try some myself. These logos are not created with fonts but are drawn by hand by the designer or illustrator giving a unique bespoke design. They certainly lend themselves to wine bottles – another glass anyone?
Now here is a logo style I really admire because of the simplicity and cleverness of these types of logo. Gaining ground in 2016 with many more to come, the logo works with dual imagery to create a very clever icon within another.
We started seeing this type of logo back in 2015 and they will continue to be popular. Using a steady line thickness and sometimes only one solid colour it’s a sure fire way to create a fun and modern style logo.
You may have seen a lot of cluttered logos and wondered what exactly they are supposed to be, well nowadays you can expect a lot of streaming of logos as cluttered designs are rebranded into simple designs which will look great both in print and on the web.
