Roller banner buying hints and tips

Roller banner buying hints and tips

There are so many choices when it comes to buying a roller banner it can be confusing to know if you’re getting a good deal or not. Have a look at some of our tips to help you make an informed choice next time you are buying a new one.

Does it really matter what material the banner is printed on?
If you want your banner to stand up to regular use look for a 400gsm anti-curl, anti-scuff, anti-glare SoFlat material this will help prevent the curling that you get with a cheaper roller banner.

What size should my banner be?
Ideally a width of at least 800mm although 850mm is better and a height of 2 metres will give good impact.

Anything else I should expect?
Yes, the graphic panel is just one of the components, you should also check to see that your roller banner comes with a heavy duty bungee pole and socket base, a large internal graphic housing, a snap clip to the top rail and a good quality carry bag.

Is a warranty included?
Yes. Our Greenwich roller banners come with a 1 year warranty which includes a 30 day full warranty and a ‘return-to-base’ warranty thereafter.

What about the design and artwork?
We offer a full design and artwork service giving you peace of mind that your banner will look professional. If you want to supply the artwork yourself then there are a few things to bear in mind.

  • Make sure your images are large enough – at least 300 pixels per inch and saved in a CMYK colour space.
  • Allow a 3mm bleed around all edges and leave a ‘quiet area’ of 150mm at the bottom of the roller banner as there is always some space that isn’t visible when the banner is extended.
