Mini-Guide designed and printed

PerformancePlus Partnership helps companies across East Anglia with management structures and quality frameworks. They are proud to have achieved a 100% success record helping companies gain the International Standards certifications they need and was looking to get a new Mini-Guide designed and printed but didn’t just want a run of the mill A5 folded leaflet.

ISO was founded with the idea of answering a fundamental question: “What’s the best way of doing this?” With this in mind DL Design was asked by Performance Plus Partnership to design a new marketing piece. The design needed to be compact, small enough to fit in a pocket but expandable to contain enough information to explain the benefits of four different standards; ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

When folded flat the Mini-Guide is only 80mm square but when opened up fully, it expands to a massive 420mm long. The Mini-Guide has been designed in a way that allows each page to be viewed in a perpetual fashion and has become so popular that the directors have nicknamed it ‘the flippy-flappy thing’ due to its concertina folding.

Each page gives more information about the quality standard, has a bespoke icon and is colour coded which helps to see the individual pages when in its folded state. You can see from the images below how the guide looks when it is folded and then unfolded. 170gsm silk was the paper used to print the guide on, the reason for choosing this weight was to keep the bulk down when the guide was folded.

This really is the small leaflet with a huge print area and it’s proving popular with PerformancePlus Partnership’s clients who have commented how unique it is.
