Estimate pads print for ChipsAway Ipswich

ChipsAway Ipswich is a local workshop which offers a convenient and cost-effective service. It provides high quality car body repairs to minor paintwork damage within a fast timescale and at a fraction of the cost of traditional body shop repair methods. ChipsAway Ipswich were so busy writing out customer estimates that it wasn’t long before they needed a new supply of estimate pads.

If you ever need their services – which most of us will at some point, the chances are that you will get a copy of an estimate and if you go ahead and use one of their courtesy cars you will get a copy of that agreement as well.

DL Design was asked to do a reprint of their current estimate pads with a minor change to some of the text, the whole job was turned around quickly as ChipsAway Ipswich had nearly run out of estimate pads.

The estimate pads use a process called NCR which allows the top copy to filled out and automatically produces a duplicate copy underneath.

So what is NCR?

NCR is a type of coated paper designed to transfer information written on the front onto the coloured sheets below. Instead of inserting another sheet in between the original and the copy, carbonless copy paper has a micro-encapsulated dye or ink on the reverse side of the top sheet, and a clay coating on the front side of the bottom sheet.

When pressure is applied with a ball point pen, the dye capsules rupture and react with the clay to form a permanent mark identical to the markings made to the top sheet. Intermediary sheets, with clay on the front and dye capsules on the back, can be used to create multiple copies which is also known as multipart stationery.

“Darren has been very helpful with my new branding stationery, and I have found him to be professional in all aspects of his business. He has helped with design and print and was very well priced with a great attention to detail and quality. I would highly recommend.”
